Everest View Trek is a holy grail for travellers looking for a short venture in the Khumbu region. This trek is also known as the Namche Bazaar trek or Everest Panorama Trek. It is a short trek that winds through the Sagarmatha National Park from Monjo onwards and ascends to the Everest View Hotel (3,962 m).
Everest View Hotel is one of the highest luxury hotels in the world. It is also the highest point of our Everest View Trek. Unlike the famous Everest Base Camp trek and its long time commitment, one can do the Everest View Trekking in 4 to 5 days if already in Kathmandu. The trek has the perfect balance of experience and steep walking. You get to know a lot of the Himalayas and the natives.
Mountain Views
The views during the Everest View Trek are breathtaking and will satisfy your heart. In Namche Bazaar, you get to see the first view of Mt. Everest (8,849 m). From here onwards, the trek offers constant views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains.
Other mountains like Lhotse (8,516 m), Nuptse (7,861 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Thamserku (6,608 m), Pumori (7,161 m), Kongde Ri (6,187 m), etc are also seen while trekking. Everest View Hotel offers the best landscape. While trekking, you get to see excellent sceneries of lush green hills, rivers, and waterfalls.
Everest View Trek route
Our Everest View Trek itinerary flies you to Lukla (2,846 m), from where we begin trekking through small mountain villages and dense forests of rhododendron, pine & bamboo. The route descends to Phakding village (2,610 ) on the first day you hit the trail.
From here, you walk, crossing numerous suspension bridges and steeply ascend to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m). We ascend to Everest View Hotel (3,962 m) and follow the same trail back to Lukla.
Difficulty
Everest View Trek is the easiest trek in the Himalayas that presents great views of Mt. Everest. It's the trek for everyone- old, young, and new. The trekking route has subtle steep & rough paths, and that is given because it's the Himalayas.
You do need to walk 5 to 6 hours a day on average. So get ready for a long walk. The Everest View Trek route is quiet descent services wise. You surely are travelling in one of the extreme parts of the Earth, however, the commercialization of this specific trail has made it much more convenient for the trekkers.
You can get almost all modern comforts during the trek, including WiFi, ATM, several cuisines to dig in, comfy accommodation, etc.
Altitude Sickness
The risk of altitude sickness during Everest View Trekking is low. Our itinerary has the needed rest days, so you do not need to worry about it. If you feel difficulty in breathing on your way or see other symptoms like nausea, headache, insomnia, etc, then inform your team leader. These are the early symptoms of altitude sickness and can be cured by taking some medication and resting.
Preparation
Everest View Trek preparation is light. Trekkers do not need to do any advanced training for this trek. You can go on short hikes or walk 4/5 hours a few times a week. Do activities that involve cardio. It will build up your stamina and get you ready for the trek.
