Tamang Heritage trail route is easily accessible from Kathmandu. Located 124 km north of the city, one can reach the starting point of the trek within 6-7 hours of the comfortable scenic drive. The Tamang Heritage Trail lies between the majestic Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal ranges. The trail ascends around the Langtang Valley and passes by picturesque villages.
The main highlight of Tamang Heritage Trekking is the people of the Tamang community. They are believed to be the descendants of Tibetans and are also known as the early settlers of the hilly & mountain areas. They follow Tibetan Buddhism.
